Well, it took me a couple of hours to figure out how to do this, because of <a href="http://groups-beta.google.com/group/Google-Maps-API/browse_thread/thread/e059e1c624df85b7/bbaaeb6809432fcc#bbaaeb6809432fcc" rel="nofollow">a bug in google's satellite rendering</a>. I had to figure it out on my own and I didnt know about this google group.

There is a way to get rid of the error message, by generating a new key and having a javascript routine to parse location.href and send the appropriate key depending on which url the post is being viewed from. However I think google will fix the key system eventually. It has several problems.

That sure took you a while :-). You've known it for at least 4 hours.
So, there's no way to get rid of the error message?
